Illustrator - Hand Drawn Ideas

Hand Drawn Ideas:

After creating my brainstorms for each ideas I decided to turn these into drawings. I have designed four different disk designs. Now I have set my theme through my Photoshop work I am more limited with the options I can chose based on the fact that I wish to keep my three elements similar and hence professional. I want all my elements to follow the same theme. For this reason the main colour I have used throughout is pink and I have taken the idea from the front of my DVD inlay (the pink sky with clouds) and used this in different variations for each design. My four designs can be seen below. The next step I wish to take is to look at current disk designs and evaluate the good and bad features (in my opinion) of each. This could give me ideas for adaptations to my own but also look at things which I didn’t think worked so well and hence could avoid with my own.
